A collaboration for Patagonia and Phillips

Minimalistic

Following market trends, I went for a sleek, minimalistic design. The colors and name are an homage to whale populations. For the materials, the top is composed of recycled ocean-found high-density polyethylene (HDPE). HDPE has a very strong heat tolerance and is one of the plastics that can be most easily removed from the oceans. As for the base, it is composed of recycled rubber.

Simplistic

Both the Toaster and Kettle are sleek and compact in their designs. The toaster includes a pop-out crumb tray and textured function buttons, thus reducing the number of assembly parts needed. The intentional design also reduces the need for paint in the production process.
